Laterras R. Whitfield, host of the award-winning and wildly viral Dear Future Wifey podcast, just put a ring on it—and the culture is clapping!

This past Sunday, July 13, Whitfield popped the question at California Worship Center in Los Angeles, the very place where he met his future wife. “From the moment I saw her, my heart recognized home,” he shared. “Proposing where our story began was divine alignment.”

Known for pouring out his heart on air and keeping it raw about his healing journey, Whitfield’s podcast was born out of personal pain—but this proposal? It's the

evidence of transformation. After heartbreak in 2023

and a powerful episode titled “Healing from Heartbreak,” he made a declaration to be married by the end of 2025. He meant that.

The intimate proposal was nothing short of breathtaking—complete with a red carpet of rose petals, a heart-shaped floral arch, and a surprise performance by Grammy-nominated Kenny Lattimore singing “So Marry Me,” a song written by Whitfield himself.

The custom ring? Baby. A 7.5 carat masterpiece designed with the Philadelphia Diamond Company, featuring rubies honoring the Proverbs 31 woman, a hidden "W" for Whitfield, and the scripture Genesis 2:23: “Bone of my bone.”

The wedding is set for November in Dallas. And while the future Mrs. Whitfield remains anonymous for now, he made it clear: “Privacy isn’t about secrecy. It’s about honor.”

With Season 10 of Dear Future Wifey in full swing and the fifth podcast anniversary celebrated in April, Whitfield is ending this year exactly how he started it—walking in faith, love, and legacy.
